There are many "cures" available for snoring; these include expensive and often painful throat surgery, electronic devices that provide an electric shock when you snore (which surely is not going to result in a good nights sleep), and various drugs, pills and potions with unproven results.

Intra-oral appliances can achieve a 90% reduction in snoring and up to a 50% reduction in Sleep Apnoea; results that are scientifically proven.

Rather like a sports mouthguard in appearance, Mandibular Advancement Devices sound complicated, but actually provide a very simple solution to the problem of snoring. These devices increase the airway space by holding your lower jaw slightly forward, so that air velocity reduces, and with it snoring caused by soft tissue vibration.

DentureTech offer two types of Mandibular Advancement Device, the MDSA and Silent Nite. Both devices consist of thin, clear, highly accurate forms which fit over the upper and lower teeth. In the case of the Silent Nite these are linked with a pair of patented, hinged connectors that gently pull the lower jaw forward by a pre-determined amount. With MDSA a hook mechanism attached to the upper tray attaches with a shelf on the lower tray and allows the jaw to be positioned forward.
